Each year the Utah Developmental Disabilities Council recognizes outstanding people and their efforts on behalf of the disability community. The Council will recognize individuals during the Annual Meeting of the Utah Developmental Disabilities Council, September 23, 2008.

The categories for the awards include:

Self-Advocate of the Year
Volunteer of the Year
Legislator of the Year
Parent of the Year
Media Representative of the Year
Educator of the Year
